There are some people constantly brimming with good ideas. And then there are people who take it one step forward and actually EXECUTE that great idea. I envy this type. They don’t sit on their dreams. They hatch on them. And let their offerings into the world.

One such creative individual has launched her service called CRATEFUL MOM. Isn’t that a funky name? So, before I get into what this mom does, let me show you something. How would you feel if this arrived at your doorstep?

Pretty special, huh?

There are some people who make you feel like they have more hours in the day. They do more, their children are happy, they maintain the work-life balance and they take care of themselves too. No, they don’t have a magic wand, but they do seem to have a formula (we are trying to steal that here).

Selina (L) Saira (R) – the brains behind SmarTechs

One such dynamic mom-duo is Saira Baakza and Selina Hasan. Besides their roles as full time moms and tending to their homes, they have brought a revolutionary idea, STEM, to Pakistan. Read More →

Here’s the third in the series Moms Uninhibited, (for intro read here), and what a fabulous lady. My friend Saad’s mother, she has really accomplished it all. I was told my series focused too much on a particular generation, so this interview will fix that. This lady fought to break the glass ceiling when we were in our diapers. 38 years dedicated to an organization! Talk about loyalty! Hope you all enjoy the answers as much as I did; so candid and endearing:

Since quite some time, I noticed there were many women I came across in everyday life who made me stop and think: HOW DO THEY DO IT? I came to realize a common factor amongst all of them- they are mostly working mothers. Hard at work. I grew increasingly curious about how they managed to juggle it all. These women are not globally famous, but most of them are on the way there! And the reason it’s ‘moms only’ is not out of any bias, reason stated in intro here. So I decided to conduct short interviews and share the secrets with my readers, plus a teeny glimpse into the person behind the mother, wife, daughter, sister, employee, entrepreneur… This is one such post…. ENJOY!

So here’s the background to the new category on the blog:

Luckily for me, I often happen to come across people who are very inspiring. These people lead useful and busy lives. They juggle a lot and they juggle very well. They are not on the planet to turn oxygen to carbon dioxide, but to make a change. Slowly and gradually, they are making minor changes that are making a difference. These people and their lives need to be celebrated. Here (on this tiny space on the blogosphere where there is not much traffic yet) I am sharing their stories, in a very small interview that will serve as a glimpse into their lives. Read More →
